SUMMARY:

Senior Account Managers sell our products to established and prospective customers. They handle quotes, orders, and various projects directly with customers as well as through various sales channels (i.e. sales representatives, distributors, private label accounts, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain and grow existing customers
• Proactively convert opportunity pipeline into sales
• Forecast and meet assigned sales goals
• Generate customer specific proposals
• Maintain assigned sales channels (i.e. sales representatives, distributors, etc.)
• Coordinate with engineering, materials and manufacturing groups to provide customers with the best possible solutions to meet their requirements
• Provide accurate and timely pricing and product support to customers, sales representatives and other departments. This includes lead times, pricing, confirmation of purchase orders, engineering and manufacturing developments affecting customer orders, etc.
• Responsible for sustaining and continuing product knowledge of existing and new products and applications.
• Coordinate RMA’s
• Address customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.
• Maximize OTD by quoting available to promise
• Negotiate blanket PO terms
• Negotiate Kanban agreements
• Review backlog report on weekly basis and follow up with customers to retrieve new orders
• Document sales activities in CRM
• Maintain customer applications database
• Coordinate customer visits
• Visit prospect and customer sites to present LE products and benefits
• Renegotiate existing contracts toward maximizing profit
• Order entry as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Establishes and maintains effective channels of communications with managers, co workers, affiliates, vendors, and all other business contacts.
• Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common sense rules of safety in all on the job activities.
• Conducts self in a manner reflecting credit on Lin Engineering and encourages others to do the same.
• Must be organized, creative, independent and self motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence.
• Must be able to adjust tasks and focus with poise, and in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.
• Must possess proficient written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence knowledge.
• Thorough knowledge of clerical and administrative practices and skilled in customer service.
• Must present a neat, professional appearance.
• A good sense of humor and belief in working as a cohesive team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university is preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service/sales experience preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel. Salesforce or other CRM software experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
