Lin Engineering is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for their Morgan Hill, CA office. This role is responsible for supporting the Quality Department in multiple quality engineering functions from document control, ensuring compliance in ISO 9001, auditing, assisting Quality Manager with effectiveness of overall department, managing RoHS, Conflict mineral, WEEE, and REACH.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Manage all document control
• Internal audits and external audits
• Assist managing implementation of QS Infinity at Lin and partner suppliers
• Manage RoHS, Conflict mineral, WEEE, REACH
• Support managing RMA and MRR and customer complaints
• MRB system and disposition
• Ensure effectiveness of Correction Item implementation, internally, supplier and customer.
• Monitor and report progress on CAR and follow thru with closures
• Rejects internal and at Suppliers, quarterly supplier performance
• Ensure effectiveness of communication on the technical level with overseas suppliers.
• Fluent in Chinese is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Organizational skill in document control, test report, analysis data collection, meeting minutes
• Familiarity above average, with Quality Statistical equations, such as Pp and Ppk and Control Charts.
• Above average skilled in Excel, Words, Power Point
• Ability to produce results from minimal instruction input
• Familiar with Risk Assessment techniques/tool (FMEA, Fault Tree, What If, 8Ds)
• Ability to audit suppliers or learn to conduct Audit.
• Knowledge of quality tools, quality management systems, standard tolerances interpretation, SPC theories, Microsoft standard programs.
DELIVERABLES
• Demonstrate progress in Document Control management for RoHS, Conflict mineral, and REACH.
• Demonstrate control in a timely manner addressing reply to customer audit non-conformance finding(s)
• Demonstrate control managing suppliers CAR and effectiveness of root cause analysis and implementation of solution
• Demonstrate control managing internal defect, including incoming inspection and manufacturing process.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college; or six months to one year related experience and/or training in Quality; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Highly proficient in Syteline
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Familiarity with standard deviation, average, Pp and Ppk is a plus.
REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
